There are acquired or congenital facial deformities, as the Hemifacial Progressive Atrophy, where the patient suffers reabsorption of the subcutaneous facial fat of one half of the face, creating a contour deformity that leads to a facial  asymmetry. One of the reconstructive options, the easiest one, is the auto graft of adipose tissue, using the patient's fat, and through multiples sessions, filling the affected side of the face with fat until getting the desired contour.  This procedure is known as  fat injection.  With this relative easy procedure, we can correct the facial asymmetry of the patient, with good and long lasting results.
