Ears Surgery

The surgery of the ears is known as Otoplasty. It is a procedure that is performed to correct deformities of the ears that make them very prominent, or separate them from the head. It is a surgery that is very common in children and it is important to perform the same after 5 years of age to avoid psychological traumas that may follow.

Surgery can be performed under local anesthesia in adults, and should be done under general anesthesia in children, it is an outpatient procedure. The structures of the ears are renovated to give them a new form and position. The resulting scars are located behind the ears, so they are imperceptible to the eye. Disability requires a maximum of 4 days due to the dressing that is used during the early days to maintain the obtained form with the ear surgery.
