Mastopexy or breast lift,  is a surgery that is being done to raise the position of the breast when they are fallen. This drop of the breast tissue  is usually frecuent after pregnancy, but there are patients who have them in a poor condition even without having had pregnancies. The surgery is done in order to reposition the breast in a higher position, and reduce the excess skin left once lifted. In some cases the use of a breast implant is indicated to get a better shape and consistency of the breast.  The scars that result from this procedure will depend on the distance to be lifted, but may be similar to the breast reduction final scars. This procedure is performed under local anesthesia and sedation or general anesthesia, and is ambulatory. The recovery time is fast and you may return to everyday tasks in 5 days.
