Cosmetic, Facial and Corporal Clinic
It is the surgery to the eyelids, which consists in the removal of excess skin and bags that make you look older. This procedure can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation and local levels as appropriate for each particular patient. It is an outpatient procedure. The surgery consists in performing a skin excision of the upper lid so that the scar left in the upper tarsal groove, makes no visible scar. The bags are removed and the orbicular muscle is to recreate an upper groove youth. The lower eyelids can be treated by placing the skin incision in the first or second fold just below the eyelashes, where there is excess skin to be removed. Then the bags are removed and the orbicular muscle is treated to eliminate the redundancy and to give a youthful lower eyelid. If there is no excess skin a conjunctival incision can be used, i.e., inside the eyelid, through which the bags are removed and external scar is avoided. The procedure chosen depends on each particular patient.
The most significant of the postoperative is the edema, which is done in about 5 to 6 days. Points are removed between 4 and 5 days after surgery. You can usually return to work 6 days after surgery.
